When we want carbs, we really go hard. This usually means a big bowl of pasta with this garlic bread on the side, and we always end up totally smashed on the sofa afterwards. It is worth every single bite. My family loves this recipe too because it is such a quick and easy treat to throw together onβ¦
Let the butter soften slightly for 5 to 10 minutes while you gather your ingredients.
π‘ Do not let it melt completely, you just want it spreadable.
Thoroughly mix the butter, garlic, garlic granules, herbs, salt and pepper in a small bowl.
π‘ Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to let the flavours meld.
Preheat your oven to 190C Fan.
π‘ Make sure the oven is fully up to temperature before you put the bread in.
Slice the baguettes into 1 to 1.5 inch medallions on a slight diagonal.
π‘ Keep the bread slices connected at the bottom if you want to pull it apart easily.
Spread about 1/2 teaspoon of the butter mixture between each medallion, then slather any remaining butter over the tops.
π‘ If you have extra mix, make sure to fill every single gap.
Wrap the loaves in aluminium foil and bake for 10 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 15 minutes until golden.
π‘ You can save half the butter mixture for another day if you only want to bake one baguette.
